Safeguarding Democracy, Constitutional Rights, and Improving Governance

As our State Representative, Noah is working tirelessly to:

• Protect legal access to safe reproductive and sexual health care and services everywhere in the State of Michigan, including abortion, contraception, emergency contraception, commercial surrogacy, and STI treatments
• Pass the Michiganders Against Antisemitism Act, to strengthen Michigan’s tools to combat antisemitism (HB 4927)
• Ensure individuals who have violated election law are prohibited from overseeing and certifying elections on the state board of canvassers or county boards of canvassers (HB 5551)
• Protect our elections and voters from the growing threat of AI-generated disinformation campaigns (HBs 5144, 5145)
• Institute campaign finance reforms, ethics, and transparency reforms to decrease the influence of special interests and lobbyists on state government and elected officials (HBs 5580, 5581, 5582, 5583, 5584, 5585, and 5586)
• Support Michigan’s entry into the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) to ensure that the presidential candidate who wins the popular vote also receives the most electoral votes (HB 4156)
• Thwart efforts by extremist Republican legislators to implement voter suppression laws and starve municipal clerks and elections officials of the resources necessary to deliver swift and accurate vote counts to the public
• Vocally combat purveyors of the “Big Lie” who undermine confidence in our democracy by making false, dangerous claims of election fraud
• Expand Michigan’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to the Executive Office of the Governor and the State Legislature to increase transparency, accountability, and public trust in our state government and the individuals elected to oversee it (SBs 669 and 670)
